Alienware m15 4k OLED Gaming Laptop – Battlefield V Gameplay (RTX 2080 Max-Q)

Hello, and welcome back to
the Alienware YouTube channel. I’m Ernie Gonzalez, and I’m an online
product specialist for Alienware. Today, I’m going to be gaming on
the Alienware Thin and Light M15 with a video 20 80 Max
Q and a UHD OLED panel. The OLED 4K panel is new to the
M15, and perfect for the gamer wants to see every detail. With support for HDR and over 8
million individually lit pixels, you’ll receive incredible brightness,
color saturation, and contrast without experiencing
any image distortion. This screen features anti
glare and no edge bleeding, so for the best visual
experience, the 4K OLED panel delivers a devastating
one, two combination. So let’s put this M15 Thin
and Light to the test, and let me see how I fare on the
battlegrounds of Battlefield V. So here we are, guys, in
Battlefield V, and I’ve got a GPU CPU tint in the
upper left hand corner, and I’m going to run you through
my graphics settings really quick. And as you guys can see, I
have everything set to 4K, ultra, and that’s about it. So let’s get in the game. Oh, I also got a frame rate counter
in the upper left hand corner. So let’s get in here and let’s
try to right some truths. Again, I’m playing Battlefield V
on the M15 with a 4K OLED panel. And it looks so crisp. I mean it’s hard to
capture on video, but– oh god, Jesus. Yeah, buddy. Shot right in the back. Thanks, bro. Where are these fools? Oh, god. Yeah, right. I see you. 4K. I see you in 4K, buddy. You can get in the way. Gotta heal up [INAUDIBLE]. Whoo. Get you some. Sorry, got really hyped. Oh, god. Why can’t I get over that rock, dude? OK. Here we go. He gone. Oh, god. Oh, excuse me, excuse me. Coming through. Change. Change. Come on. OK. OK. Can I get that gun? No? Can I get it? All right, sniper gun. Let’s see how this goes. Oh, boy. Oh, god. Oh, god. Oh, boy. Oh, this is not good. [LAUGHING] Victory. Just got– just got like toilet paper
thrown in his face or something. See where I’m going. I never played this map. I’m gone. Let’s try some snipes. Oh. Oh. Come on. Oh, yeah. Uh-oh, uh-oh. Let’s go. Let’s go. Oh, come on. Oh, man, come on, bro. Show your face. Come on. Come on, dude. Oh. Come on. Oh. Come on. Yes. Thank you, buddy. Finish the job. Oh, god. Right in the chaos. Right in the chaos. Whoo. Whoo. Jesus. Oh. Oh, god. Oh, yeah. Uh. Come on. Oh, come on. Come on. Got hit shots. Hit markers. Hit markers only. Throw a grenade for
your troubles, buddy. Oh, god. They erased that house. Savages, I tell you. Creeping, creeping. I’m not that great with the sniper gun. And then I’ll try it from there. Hopefully, the 4K improves my sniping,
because, I mean, you guys already know. Oh, yeah. What the– really? It’s just nothing? No hit marker? No– oh, my god. Bad time to reload. Yeah. Let me at them, bro. This guy’s going to die right now. Oh, yes. Oh, that feels so good. Come on. All right, let’s go back to a
little bit of submachine gun. Do a little run and shoot. Running gun. What’s up, Playboy? Oh, yeah. Get wrecked. That worked. Whoo. Thank you, bro. Uh-uhn. No. Let’s go, buddy. Following you. We’re in the trenches. Uh-oh. Why did I do that? It might have been an accident. Might have been a little accidental. See if you can get a
flank on these guys. Oh, god. That guy killed him. Jesus. I’m so lost in this map. All right. Whoo. [INAUDIBLE] I have a little suppression fire. Oh, yeah. He gone. This little gun is nasty. Oh, boy. That’s what you get, bro. Fricking laying there. Uh-oh. Oh, boy. Oh, yeah. This guy. Oh, boy. Victory. Uh-oh. I went a little bit out of bounds there. And I get to do it again, all right. OK. We’ll get way away from that one. I am. I am. Shut up. Oh, god. There’s so much action right now. Oh, thank you, buddy. That’s my dude. I don’t know who he is,
but he’s a nice guy. Oh. All right, victory. Well, thank you, guys, for checking
out the new Alienware Thin and Light M15 with an OLED UHD panel, and
for spending some of your time here with us at the

  1. I got a chance to play with one at BestBuy, the m17 model and wow it's a beaut. It's definitely out of my budget but I appreciate the material choices and design 😍🙏

  2. Just got a m15 with a 2060.
Is it normal for the system to get as warm as it does ? Meaning the keyboard area. I chalked it up to the limited space it has since its so thin and small.

  3. You didn't share the entire screen when going over your settings. You said it was set at 4k ultra but there is some obvious misinformation happening here. I have a 2080ti and BFV struggles to maintain 75 FPS with RTX Ultra settings. Buyer Beware.

*edit: I also play on a 2k Ultrawide, which is close to 4k pixels.

  4. Great design Alienware. Starting to look more modern and cleaner especially the keyboard layout but mouse pad needs to be wider.
However, I have some picky suggestions for the next thin and light m15.
    Listed as follows:
    1. One m.2 drive (Less battery consumption) and no other drive bays (I rather use externals drive and SD Cards).
    2. Larger battery.
    3. Touch screen with less top and bottom bezel or a 120+ hz screen with glass covering the screen (less dirt resistance).
    4. Modular components as possible (Keep the same design motherboard but with one m.2 drive and no other bays).
    5. Less plastic especially the glossy ones.
    6. Hinges needs to hug the entire back of the base chassis so that the screen can lay at least 170 to 180 degree so it can hide some of the bottom bezel (No bold Alienware wording on the bottom bezel use faded word or logo).

    Thank you for listening!
Please do! I am a Fan (I own Alienware products)!
Those suggestion will stop letting me used my HP Spectre x360 for sure.

  6. Wow, you didn't even show the settings (rtx). Marketing joke, who would even buy a 4k display with a maxq to game on it

  7. Watching a guy play a game on OLED through youtube on my lcd monitor. Not really sure what I am suppose to learn about this panel other than yes, it displays graphics.

  8. Is that a standard M15 retail unit? how do you manage to get these CPU temps??? Bios update? Undervolt? Repaste?
Because in the units that ship to consumers the cpu hits 99 degrees as soon as you launch an AAA game unless you undervolt or repaste.
I would be very disappointing if you did some tweaking behind the scene as it would not reflect what the consumer gets from your gaming laptop out of the box.
    Please explain.

  9. Just accepted delivery of my OLED m15 today. This video doesn't do the panel justice. It looks so amazing in person.

  10. Great vid! Love the way Alienware is going!! Oled definitely has its place in games, I recommend to test Tomb Raider on it, the landscape will look gorgeous!!
One suggestion for Alienware, I think an Alienware m13 could be cool as well, or the alienwares could have maybe a bit stiffer and more durable bezel, the build quality is outstanding on your machines, only the bezel needs a bit more love maybe:)

  11. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the m15 needs a refresh ASAP. Just from comments on other videos, you'll see how everyone thinks it looks dated. If you were to put out a poll to a general audience, many would say the m15 is ugly.
    1. Ditch the middle hinges and "clam" design (there's hinge gaps on the left and right, what's with the random sloping upwards?)
    2. What's with the pointed roof on top of the display
    3. Ditch the glossy black borders, looks cheap.
    4. Get rid of the number pad and add shortcut and macro keys. Looks cluttered currently.
    5. Bring back RBG touchpads and get rid of that white line separating clicks.
    6. Clean up the lines. Lots of random tapering, slopes, etc.
    7. Ensure ALL your laptops have Windows Hello. Just that alone is a deal breaker for me and others.

Sorry, I know you guys want to put all your eggs in the m15 and m17, but you guys got off to a bad start. It won't sell with its bad design. I can tell from the offered configurations that you want to make this the new face, but it's an UGLY face! You should forget this one existed and getting to redesigning right away.

On a side note, stop trying to kill the original 15 and 17. I find the 15 the best model but it's getting crapped on! No display options above 60Hz? Where are the 144Hz and 240Hz options for the 15r4? The 15 needs a 1440p screen at 144Hz! Such a big chassis to push high frame rates and you guys cap it at a slow 60Hz? Wth? The 15r3 had Tobi Eye Tracking and Windows Hello and you removed both for the 15r4! And charge the same price! Cheap asses! For these reasons, I'm no longer considering an Alienware until I see something better.

  12. I tried an m15 and an m17. I have a 13R3. The 13R3's build quality, keyboard (dat keyboard….yummy), and just the overall aesthetic was epic. The m15 almost feels like a giant ultrabook that can't keep itself in check. At the same time the Area 51m is just massive and a bit too much for what i need size-wise.

  13. My m15 OLED is so saturated. How do you reduce the color. In Display Settings I can only see the Intel 630 card with 8 bit color. Reds and Blues are blooming so bad it hurts. The monitor is showing as a Generic PnP Monitor. Something just doesn't seem right??

  14. I ordered an m15 OLED today. Rtx2070. I'm a little concerned about the heat issues I've been reading about. Any issues with heat on your end?

  16. Ok so i guess this is where the difference with the 2080 comes in, at higher resolutions.. with the max Q 2080 at 1080P it wasn't that big a deal over a 2070 non max Q for example.
